For whatever reason, shared outlook calendars do not show up in your android devices by default. However, there is an app called Teamsite Calendar Sync that will pull in your shared outlook calendars. The app is highly configurable, allowing you to set the sync frequency, calendar color, calendar name. It also supports all Android calendar fields including Attendees, Reminders, and Recurrence. Even better it allows two way sync (assuming you are the owner of the calendar), which means you can update your outlook calendar right from your android device!

Part 2: Adding a shared outlook calendar to Teamsite Calendar Sync
Continued from Part 1: Creating a shared outlook calendar
Here's how you get started with Teamsite Calendar Sync.
1. Download and install the "Teamsite Calendar Sync" from the Google Play store.
2. Once you start the app, you'll be at a blank "Accounts" screen. Click "New" to begin adding a new account.
3. Enter your email address and password for your outlook account. Click "Next". The app will autodiscover your outlook settings.
4. Enter the email address of the owner of the shared calendar. This is whoever created the calendar. See bla bla for more info on created a shared calendar. The app will search for calendars by owner email address.
5. Select the desired calendar from the dropdown. If the calendar does not show up, the owner may need to adjust the permissions for you. See the issue regarding permissions at the bottom of Part 1: Creating a shared outlook calendar.
6. Enter a name for the calendar if desired. This is what your calendar will appear as on your Android device.
7. Select sync options and click "Finish" to start your first sync.
8. You are done! If you are the owner of the calendar you can add events on your android device and they will sync with outlook! If you are not the owner you will only be able to read events that come down from the shared calendar.

Part 1: Creating a shared outlook calendar
You can create a shared calendar using your Outlook desktop app or using Outlook Web app. In this tutorial I'm going to show you how to do it using Outlook Web app.
1. The first step is to login to Outlook Web App and navigate to "Calendar".
2. Right click on "My Calendars". Then click "new calendar" from the popup.
3. A textbox will appears under "My Calendars" that will allow you to enter a name for your new calendar. I've named mine "MySharedCalendar" in the example.
4. After naming your calendar hit "enter" to save it. Now right click on your new calendar and click "share calendar".
5. Add users to share with by typing in their email addresses to the "Share with" text box. Select the desired permission level from the following: "Full details" to share all the information about the events on your calendar, "Limited details" to show the subject and location, or "Availability only" to show only the time of an event, but no other details. Edit the subject if you like. Make sure the calendar in the drop down is the one you want to share. Click "Send" to send out the invitation(s).
6. The recipient(s) of the invitation will get an email with instructions for adding the shared calendar to their view.
Issue: After sharing the calendar following the above instructions, it still doesn't show up when I try to add it to the Teamsite Calendar Sync app.
Solution: Is the person you are trying to share outside your organization? You'll need to share your availability of your main calendar with them as well in order for the shared calendar to show up in Teamsite Calendar Sync. This is due to the way Outlook folder permissions are setup. By default, everyone in your org can see your main calendar availability. Outside your org will not see your availability by default.
If you need to share your calendar with someone outside your org, continue with the following steps. If not, you are DONE!
7. To share your availability with someone outside your org, right click on your main "Calendar".
That should do it! You have now shared a calendar. You will now be able to add the calendar to your Teamsite Calendar Sync app.
